Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper Volunteer to support the financial operations of our organization. In this role, you will record monthly financial transactions in QuickBooks, prepare journal entries, and maintain accurate and organized financial records. You will assist with tracking expenses, categorizing transactions, and supporting basic financial reporting and reconciliations as needed. Working closely with the team, you will help ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping that supports smooth organizational operations. Your background in accounting or finance, familiarity with QuickBooks, and strong attention to detail will be essential to this role. Your contributions will directly support RISE2GETHER’s mission by helping maintain transparent and efficient financial management.
Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper Volunteer, you will:
Record monthly financial transactions in accounting software (QuickBooks)
Prepare and post journal entries as needed
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Assist with tracking expenses and categorizing transactions
Support basic financial reporting and reconciliations (if applicable)
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who bring most of the following:
Background in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
Experience with journal entries and basic accounting principles
Familiarity with QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Reliable and able to meet monthly deadlines
