Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Volunteer Lead to support the behind-the-scenes coordination of our career panel events. In this role, you will recruit volunteers through the WeChat Volunteer Group Chat, assign roles, and provide clear instructions to ensure smooth event-day execution. You will also coordinate catering logistics by ordering desserts based on registration numbers and support post-event follow-up tasks such as collecting media files, submitting volunteer hour match requests, and processing reimbursements. Working remotely with the team, your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks will help create seamless event experiences. Your contributions will directly support RISE2GETHER’s mission of building community and empowering women’s career growth.

Responsibilities

As a Remote Volunteer Lead, you will:

Volunteer Recruitment:

  • Recruit 10 volunteers from the WeChat Volunteer Group Chat one week before each career panel

Volunteer Coordination:

  • Assign roles and provide clear instructions for event-day responsibilities to volunteers

Catering Coordination:

  • Order desserts from Ruru6 Bakery the Thursday before the event based on registration numbers

Volunteer Follow-Up:

  • Remind volunteers to upload photos/videos to appropriate Google Drives

  • Submit employer volunteer hour match requests

  • Submit reimbursement requests via Rise2Gether website
