My work often features themes of animals, emotions, and visual storytelling, all rooted in the concept of familiarity—connecting and rekindling shared memories through art. I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including iconic artists like Frida Kahlo and oriental folk art, particularly abstract and floral patterns.

I joined RISE2GETHER to contribute to a mission I believe in while growing as a designer in a purpose-driven community. Since February 2025, I’ve helped redesign and build the R2G website—from early brainstorming to implementing high-fidelity designs across multiple live pages. I also supported photography efforts. This experience sharpened my visual thinking and deepened my belief in how design can shape narratives and amplify voices.

Haichao is a UX designer pursuing her master’s degree at UW, graduating in 2026. She enjoys photography—especially portraits and events—and has worked independently as a photographer for over five years.
